Kick off the Ideas Festival weekend by taking the stage at our Poetry Open Mic. We will be celebrating language, literature, and the beauty of sharing the ideas therein in front of a live audience. This event is open to self-identified poets and those who just want to give it a try. The definition of poetry is as open as the stage, so come with a page of original verse, a rendition of your favourite author's work, a guitar, an improvised spoken word act, an excerpt from a longer work, or anything else you consider poetry. The festival theme is Connection – but that is open to interpretation as well. Whatever it is, we want to hear from you!
Open mic performers are invited to register through our form beforehand, or sign up at the door if there are last-minute slots remaining.
*This event is part of Brussels Ideas Festival hosted at Full Circle House from 20-22 November 2026.
