We are proud to host A TOUCH OF PRESENCE, a new exhibition with Austrian-Belgian artist, Izabel Angerer, in the PARADIS ART ROOM.
Exhibition: 21 November 2026 – 23 January 2027
Opening : Saturday, 21 November, 5pm – 9pm. Free entry to all
Izabel Angerer’s practice is based on a focused yet open process. Her densely placed lines testify to precision while being carried by minimal deviations. Her perforations accumulate progressively but never uniformly, shifting their rhythm and activating the support into a dynamic surface that can at times appear tactile.
The artist’s individual marks are never conceived as isolated gestures – they are always part of a sequence. Through a continuous interplay of repetition, deviation, and spontaneity, the temporal dimension of artistic creation becomes the basis of meaning in each of the exhibited works.
Angerer’s theoretical point of reference is the thought of the pre-Socratic philosopher Heraclitus. His central notion that all being is in constant flux serves the artist as a conceptual model. For her, a work does not exist as a timeless object but as a carrier of actions that have passed, yet remain firmly inscribed in the material. Line, color and perforation do not serve as a representation but as markers of a temporal process: they refer to individual moments fixed in the work, thus resisting change.
PARADIS ART ROOM is a space, an exhibition program dedicated to contemporary artists. Each exhibition is accompanied by a limited edition, specially produced by the artists for PARADIS ART ROOM. The idea: alongside the exhibited works, to offer more accessible formats — always signed. A way to open up collecting, to bring art closer, to give those who connect with an artist the opportunity to acquire a first work at an approachable price.
